SALVATION ARMY SET TO KICKOFF CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN AT SOUTH CAROLINA STATE HOUSE
Ringing bells will usher in Christmas season
Columbia, S.C. November 10, 2009—It’s the most wonderful time of the year, a time marked by red kettles, ringing bells and smiling faces as The Salvation Army prepares for its annual Christmas campaign with an entertaining kick-off event scheduled to take place at the north grounds and steps of the South Carolina State House at 1201 Main Street on Friday, November 20 at 11:00 AM. Program highlights include live Christmas music as played by a traditional Salvation Army band as well as plenty of free hot coffee and fresh donuts. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at The Salvation Army chapel at 2025 Main Street.
